Lotus Flower Table

They decided to build a Lotus Flower Coffee Table for their 2014 HSC industrial and technology timber and furniture major projects. The tabletop features a flower inspired intarsia inlay and the table features a hidden dovetailed pine drawer with two compartments.

"My 2014 HSC industrial and technology timber and furniture major project was a Lotus Flower Coffee Table!"
"The table features a hidden dovetailed pine drawer with two compartments."
Rock maple, Tasmanian myrtle, jarrah, jelutong, European beech, pine, plywood and MDF
"The table top features a flower inspired intarsia inlay. The inlay is a six-petal flower made from rock maple and Tasmanian myrtle which is surrounded by jarrah with a European beech edge. The centre features a relief carving made from jelutong which mimics the flower inlay with a Mandarin character “Ji” (luck) carved in the centre. The three legs were made to match the six petals and have an elliptical cross section with a rock maple curve that creates a changing outline from different perspectives."
