2011 Year 12 Project
The photographs in the link show the build progress from plans to finished sailing dinghy. He was at Picnic Point High School and had a very good teacher. He walks us through with his builder comments and why he choose the plans he did for the project.
Bedside table
This bedside Table was created for another HSC major projects. This project achieved a band 6!
Cody's Canoe
For Cody's year 12 HSC Woodwork project, He built a 4.4m long strip canoe called the “Puddle Duck” This canoe built over 6 months of intense work and the result was Amazing.
Computer hard drive Cover
The Computer hard drive cover shown above was another students HSC major work and achieved a Band 5.
Foster Community Firebug build
A customer was approached to undertake a Community Boat build program for youth at risk in the first/Tuncurry area. The customer was a retired teacher and self-taught wooden boat builder. The program was a success and they managed to build three Firebugs.
Lotus Flower Table
They decided to build a Lotus Flower Coffee Table for their 2014 HSC industrial and technology timber and furniture major projects. The tabletop features a flower inspired intarsia inlay and the table features a hidden dovetailed pine drawer with two compartments.
Modular Lounge Chair
The Low-Slung lounge chair was designed to sit low and relaxed. The lounge chair was constructed by a very talented student.
Modular Rocking Chair
The Modular Rocking Chair is a custom designed rocking chair that is closer to a lounge than a chair. By design the chair is made for comforted as well as to make it most efficient. The chair truly displays the student’s furniture making ability.
Outdoor Daybed
The Outdoor daybed was designed to make transport ease which is why the daybed was mad in two halves. This split design was necessary for ease of transport.
Outdoor Table with Lazy Susan
A Round Outdoor Table with lazy Susan was created by a student for HSC. They did such a good job that they received a Band 6.
Replica of a Morgan Car
This project is made by a student at Asquith boys High School as his year 12 Major projects. It’s the Half size replica of a Morgan car.
Silky Oak Dinning Table
This Dinning Table was made by the hospitality teacher at St Ives High school. We go into details as to what products she used and why she used it.
Stand up paddleboard
The Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) was created for HSC and features a sunrise over the water.
Year 12 Woodwork Speedboat projects
Charlie undertook the build of a plywood speed boat as his year 12 woodwork major work. The photos in the read more link below shown are of the completed boat on the trailer at his schools open night at which he was awarded the best woodwork project for the year.
