Modular Rocking Chair
The Modular Rocking Chair is a custom designed rocking chair that is closer to a lounge than a chair. By design the chair is made for comforted as well as to make it most efficient. The chair truly displays the student’s furniture making ability.
The chair was manufactured using Jarrah and European Beech with all joints glued with Epox-E-Glue. Epox-E-Glue was used to ensure ultimate strength as most joints are placed under high point loads when rocked.
The Rockin’ Chair is a custom designed rocking chair that is closer to a lounge than a chair. Materials are Tulip Oak, European Beach, Hoop Pine and black upholstery. It was glued with Epox-E-Glue. This is not only superior to other glues, it has excellent gap filling qualities that were required for this project.
This is a very comfortable chair that displays the student’s furniture making ability. His grandmother loves the chair so much that she refused to get out of it when she first sat in it.
